NEUROLOGY CLINICAL SERVICES
The UCLA Neurology Clinic is a highly integrated department of neurologists with subspecialization in the evaluation, and treatment of disorders affecting the nervous system. Our ambulatory clinic provides state-of-the-art care for patients with a variety of neurological disorders, education of neurology residents and fellows in neurology subspecialties, and research programs in both basic and clinical neuroscience directed at understanding diseases of the nervous system and developing new treatments based on that knowledge.
The UCLA Neurology Clinic provides care through a number of subspecialty clinics, in the following fields: Cognitive Disorders, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuro-Genetics, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Neuro-Muscular Disorders, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Otology, Sleep Disorders, and Stroke.
Patients whose illnesses do not fall into these categories, and those who do not yet have a diagnosis, are seen in the general Neurology clinic. In 2006, approximately 24,418 patients were seen at the UCLA Neurology Clinic.
